PESHAWAR, December 24, 2025 – The Finance Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has approved the release of PKR 500 million as paid-up capital to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Transmission & Grid System Company (KPT&GSC). This significant financial allocation follows the authorization granted by the Provincial Cabinet in its 40th meeting held on November 14, 2025.
The funds, amounting to Rupees Five Hundred Million only, will be issued under Object Head A05270, Grant-in-Aid, as outlined in the official release order (No. BO-II/FD/2-2/E&P/2025-26) issued by the Finance Department. The expenditure will be debited to the functional classification NC21071 and will be managed through a Supplementary Grant for the financial year 2025-26.
This capital infusion is aimed at strengthening the province’s energy transmission and grid infrastructure, supporting the administrative and operational capabilities of KPT&GSC. The release of funds underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing the energy sector and ensuring reliable power transmission across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Administrative Department has been directed to ensure that all codal formalities and financial regulations are strictly observed in the utilization of the released funds.
